###### Living Lands Trust
Living Lands Trust is a land-holding organization founded in 2000, originally as Yggdrasil Land Foundation, to permanently steward farms, buildings, and other places for people and enterprises working in harmony with nature. Its roots trace to founders Martina and Christopher Mann, who came from Switzerland and began pursuing biodynamic farming and agrarian community-building in southeastern Wisconsin in 1981.
Today, the Trust holds more than 2,700 acres across southeastern Wisconsin, northern California, southern New Hampshire, and north-central Texas. It seeks to keep land from speculative ownership, expand equitable access to healthy places, and support regenerative, place-based livelihoods that strengthen regional economies across generations.

Mandaamin Institute is a Wisconsin‑based 501(c)(3) nonprofit breeding corn (and some grains) to create nutrient‑dense, climate‑friendly, fertilizer‑independent maize for organic and sustainable farming systems. It explains how state law leaves major gaps in protections from manure, air pollution, carcasses, fires, and other risks, and shows how a partnership of rural towns created a model ordinance requiring large livestock operations to submit and fund enforceable plans for waste management, air and water safeguards, road impacts, biosecurity, and cleanup bonds—without banning CAFOs outright.

The Wisconsin Grass-fed Beef Cooperative is a farmer-owned cooperative of over 230 Wisconsin family farms that produces 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef and pastured pork under the Wisconsin Meadows™ brand. Founded in 2008, the cooperative uses regenerative agricultural practices including rotational grazing to raise livestock naturally without synthetic growth hormones, antibiotics, GMOs, or pesticides.
